The patient, a 62-year-old male, required quick and effective dental restoration. Given his desire for immediate treatment and the condition of his dentition, the All-on-4 protocol was selected. This method involves placing four implants in each jaw to support a full arch prosthesis, utilizing GDT Dental Implants' RBM (Resorbable Blast Media) surface-treated implants for their superior osseointegration properties.
A comprehensive examination and digital imaging were used to evaluate the patient's oral health, followed by detailed planning using 3D imaging to determine optimal implant locations.
The surgery began with the administration of local anesthesia. Four GDT RBM implants were strategically placed in both the upper and lower jaws to maximize bone contact and stability, crucial for immediate loading.
Temporary prostheses were fabricated and immediately loaded onto the implants, ensuring the patient left the clinic with a functional and aesthetic set of teeth on the same day of the surgery.
Regular follow-up visits were scheduled to monitor the healing process and the osseointegration of the implants. The RBM surface treatment of the implants facilitated rapid and strong integration with the bone, reducing healing time. After a few months, once osseointegration was confirmed, impressions were taken for the final prostheses. Custom prostheses were fabricated to match the patient’s dental anatomy, ensuring a perfect fit and optimal aesthetics. The final prostheses were securely attached to the implants. The patient was provided with detailed post-operative care instructions, including hygiene practices and dietary recommendations, and regular follow-up appointments were scheduled to ensure the long-term success of the implants and prostheses.
The use of GDT Dental Implants' RBM implants resulted in a highly successful full-arch rehabilitation. The patient reported immediate improvement in function and aesthetics, with no complications during the healing phase. The final prostheses provided excellent esthetic outcomes and restored the patient's confidence and quality of life.
Immediate Full-Arch-on-Four Rehabilitation Conclusion
This clinical case illustrates the effectiveness of the all on four protocol using GDT RBM implants for immediate full-arch rehabilitation. The high-quality materials and advanced surface treatments of GDT implants were pivotal in achieving rapid osseointegration and long-term stability. The collaboration with Dr. Andrés López Charpentier underscores the importance of expertise and advanced technology in delivering successful dental implant treatments.
